Welcome to Baudiotek:
Where Computers meet Sound
This site was started years ago as a bulletin board for sharing how computers and audio (sound) could come together.
That was way back in the late 1970's and CDs and DVD didn't yet exist.
I decided some of this information is still relevent and will put it up again here.
But that is not all you will find here.
I have amassed alot of valuable links to other sites of interest to anyone using or wanting to use sound with their computer.
- There is a Vendor List for companies that sell products and i hope users here will post reviews of ones they have tried and used.
- There is a Alternate Sources List for web sites that offer free or shareware products that you can try before spending your money.
- There is (my favorite) a "Hacking" section (not cracking) for those wanting to modify their hardware or software to get it to "do more."
- and even some sections on putting the unit into a factory test mode so you can repair it.
I don't know about everyone else but I keep my gear for years past it's sellable prime and still use it.
I hope we can help each other make our stuff do more and easier to use.
So whether you are a pro looking for reviews of the latest greatest, or a semi-pro/hobbyist looking to get more information and hopefully share some information or are entirely new to using your computer and devices to make sound- Join Us and we will make this a place for us all to get something that sings.
thanks
